Personally and professionally, I strive to create a safe, warm, and inviting place for clients where they can be who they are and feel empowered to set and achieve their goals. Many times in our lives, we know what we need to do to help ourselves but have a hard time accessing the internal wisdom which gets quieted by the daily stressors, or situational distress, unsupportive/toxic environments or significant negative events in life.  

As a professional therapist, I incorporate Person-Centered,  Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness and Acceptance based principles in my counseling /treatment approach. I believe in principles and actions of compassion, gratitude, and kindness. I am trained in REBT, CBT, ACT, and solution-focused approaches. 

My counseling style can be summarized as compassionately engaging in meaningful goal focused therapeutic conversations, utilizing/teaching activities incorporating mind and body (e.g. meditation and relaxation), homework (to practice skills learned), and collaborating with other health professionals to work holistically and competently in order to have a comprehensive approach to treatment. 

My overall goal is to empower and sometimes challenge you as a whole to tap into your inner wisdom,  strengths and resources to gain the confidence and skills needed to overcome life's challenges and get un-stuck from dysfunctional life patterns that contribute to presenting issues.

I strive for: in, Maya Angelou's words: "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
