Shireen Musleh is licensed in the state of Illinois to diagnose and treat mental health related issues as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), and holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She has extensive clinical experience counseling children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families with various types of concerns and issues. She has experience and training on marital conflicts and parenting, fears and anxieties, grief, depression, and addiction.
Mrs. Musleh has a great deal of understanding and training in working with individuals and families suffering from domestic violence. She completed an all-encompassing training program with the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV). She co-facilitated domestic violence and anger management groups to provide psycho-education and to increase insight into maladaptive coping mechanisms. Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP) groups were provided to court ordered perpetrators, which is a program that provides services for people, both males and females, who control their partner with physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, or economical abuse (money). She also co-facilitated self-esteem groups for women to empower them and provide a safe support system. She provided co-parenting counseling for couples going through divorce, as well as for individuals struggling with the difficulties of parenting. She has basic training in biofeedback/neurofeedback, which is an evidenced-based adjunctive treatment used for psychiatric conditions such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, phobic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, depression and affective disorders, autism, and addictive disorders.
